White turmeric ‘Khamin Khao’ in Thai, is a less-known member of the ginger family and the Curcuma genus. This variety is very different from the more common red and yellow varieties with a scent reminiscent of unripe mango and a mild taste that leaves a bitter fresh aftertaste.
